I'm not able to watch the trial right now, and this morning I was watching on & off.
I don't remember anything substantial happening. Besides Baez questioning Amy Huizinga about a car accident she got into... What does that have to do with anything you ask?
I have no idea.
Anyone else watching?
Re: CA cvg for today.
I'm finally back so I'll be tuning in when I can. Did I miss anything outrageous since Friday?
While we were driving up to Niagara Falls I found the trial on an XM radio station, but my H was not down with listening to that the whole way. He was driving so I let him pick, but I was bummed. I thought I hit the jackpot.

This cracks me up. I'm slowly letting H know exactly how much I've read, listened and looked into this case. He did talk with me about it on the car ride up to G-ville this weekend, but he hasn't been paying attention to it.

Nothing to crazy has come out. Casey hasn't confessed yet. Cindy has been on the stand several times. Yesterday they played the 911 call where she says Caylee is missing (played it approx what felt like 1000 times). Cindy about fell out during the 911 tape.
Baez still sucks.
Not sure what's been going on today. About to tune back in, but I think they are @ lunch.
That's funny! My H obviously isn't paying attention either, but he knows how interested I am. That's not unusual though, as obviously with my line of work I get into this stuff, and my pleasure reading is almost exclusively true crime. He thinks I'm weird, but he's used to it.

Thanks for the recap! I'm bummed I missed Cindy.
Do we know what videos they're talking about now?

Something is going on w/ my nest..
I think the videos are of casey on the phone, or of casey when she had visitors.
Witness is one of the Deputies that arrived at the anthony residence after Cindy called 911.
I was just going to ask the same thing. I took a call and missed the outcome.

Not saying the defense is necessarily any good, but the prosecution may very well be the same way when they cross-examine defense witnesses. Maybe not, but we'll see when we get to that point. At this point the defense obviously wants to discredit the witnesses for the prosecution, so vice versa makes sense when it's the defense's turn to call THEIR witnesses.
I missed the outcome of the video discussion, too. I am only able to sort of half watch.
And my feed went away for a bit, too.

Who do you think will be the defenses witnesses?

I'm just waiting to see if they even have any defense witnesses in the first place. If I have to work the day Casey goes on the stand I might have to suddenly get very sick, lol.
The nest is nuts today...
Everyone but Casey!
Yeah, I don't know who they'll call. Of course, they don't have to call anyone, but I would imagine Baez will call anybody and everybody who might possibly be able to lend any credence to the drowning in the pool theory. For example, if memory serves, in his opening statement he was mentioning Cindy talking to co-workers about somebody leaving the ladder on their pool. He might call them to talk about that, trying to get the jurors thinking "oh, well maybe she COULD have accidently gotten into the pool..." Who knows. I imagine he'll call anyone and everyone who might possibly help in the slightest if he can.
Has anyone heard for sure if they ARE planning to call Casey to the stand? Seriously, I need to write that on my calendar NOW if they are.

Oh. Good point. I just really dislike Baez & that whole team. He just seems so disorganized.
Oh, Mrs.Mew.. yesterday the State called a witness and Mr. Baez cried about it because he didn't have his "file" on the witness. (it was amy huizinga). He took his file home over the wknd and wasn't expecting A.H. to be called to the stand.
Judge Perry gave Mr. Baez a little lecture. It was great.
Ha! That's funny! I like Perry. I do agree that Baez comes off as very disorganized. I find him hard to follow a lot of the time.
I don't mean to generalize, because they probably are not all this way, but the vast majority of defense attorneys I have worked with have been crazy disorganized. One in particular comes to mind, but I can easily think of several. I am a stickler for organization and order so it always boggled my mind that they would be such a circus when dealing with such an important case, especially in capital cases - dude, you're fighting for someone's LIFE. Get it together.

So.
This Detective guy is reading Casey's statement about the day Caylee went missing.
It says that Casey took Caylee to the Nanny's on June 9th..
According to Cindy Anthony she had Caylee on June 15th (fathers day)....
uh.
It's a pretty long & detailed statement.
It's amazing to me that she "made up" family members of the nanny.
She said, "I spent the rest of the evening pacing and worrying."
She even said, "I've lied and stolen from my friends and family to do whatever I could to look for my daughter."
she also said that she got a quick call from the nanny on June 12th.
The statement says that every day she went out looking for her daughter.
She says she talked to Caylee on July 15th.
They are playing a tape that of Casey talking to the same detective that took her statement.
She is talking about a cell phone being stolen, but some how she has the simcard out of that stolen phone.. bizarre.
She sounds incredibly calm. Like she's talking to a friend about the weather. It's really bizarre for someone whose kid has been "missing" for 31 days.
Yeah I totally don't understand how these people "remember" some of the crap that they've been "remembering."
Listening to this conversation btwn the detective & casey is crazy. She is obviously lying. The two people that "knew" that caylee was missing have new phone numbers that casey doesn't have.
"I was naive enough to think that I could handle this on my own." - on why she didn't call the police sooner.
dammn power is flickering.
I've been thinking the same thing. I am pretty confident I would be more emotional if my DOG had been missing for 31 days, let alone my kid. Heck, I'm more emotional right now just PICTURING my dog going missing than she seems to be in this recording. Wow.
