Tell me what you like about your Nikon D3000
AW your Nikon for me please. I'm considering purchasing this model in the next week as I've heard good things about it and do not wish to have a camera with video capabilities.
Thanks.
Re: Tell me what you like about your Nikon D3000
Everything. There is honestly not a single thing I dislike about the camera. Being an SLR, it has all the manual settings, but the auto settings take amazing photos on their own. I usually leave it on no flash, simply because I hate the light that all built-in flashes create and with the vibration reduction in the lens, if you have a reasonably steady hand you can take most photos without the flash and still get a crisp image. It takes photos quickly, so it's great for sports or wildlife photography when it's set on continuous shutter.
The battery lasts forever, too. Even using it constantly during a 12+ hour tour of Denali National Park, I didn't need to use the backup I brought.
I have since purchased the 55-200mm zoom lens for our trip to Alaska, mainly for better photos of far-off wildlife, and it did great. Everything in this album was taken with the D3000 and either that zoom lens or the one that comes in the kit with the body (18-55, I think).
Thank you so much for your reply. It was very helpful to me.
Great pictures too!!
