Anyone up for late evening walks a couple of times a week?
I'm kind of just brainstorming so I haven't worked out the logistics yet, but I was thinking a few of us might get together to walk around 9pm-ish (after the kids are in bed for the moms). Probably in a well lit area. I have no idea where. lol!
One of the things I miss about being childless is DH and I taking late evening walks after the temps cooled down. Now one of us has to be at home sine the kids are sleeping obviously. I get a little spooked walking alone.

Re: Late evening walks?
I would love to join you. I am getting so sick of my treadmill, but trying to keep up my walking to the very end. I am slowing down, though, so if you are worried I will hold you up at all don't feel bad saying so!
I actually started running with my running buddy because she was spooked running on her own in the mornings and it takes a lot to spook me and even then my "fight" instinct kicks in long before my "flight" instinct.
Cool!
Okay so I need to figure out a central location to Johnston, Urbandale, Ankeny, and Waukee. Or we can rotate location.
Does anyone know of any good trails? We had so many good ones in West Des Moines. Johnston doesn't seem to be as trail focused.
I know there's one that goes through Green Meadows West off of NW86th.
There's DMACC in Ankeny, right?
I think Walker Johnston Park might have a trail around their pond. ??
Others?
