I have a visiting New York question and I figured you were our resident expert so you would be the best person to ask.
I am visiting New York in early August this year with all of the women in my husbands family. My mother in law is paying for most of my trip and just called to see which show I would like to see. She has seen several of them in New Orleans and Vegas and isn't crazy about spending 200 a ticket to see the same show again. She knows that I have never seen a show and told me to choose one regardless of the price. Neither of us are dying to see any show in particulr; half of the group is going see Wicked the other half the Lion King. My question is should we make sure to buy tickets now or do you think we would be okay buying tickets the day of from tkts? Also any other suggestions on shows would be great.
I'm sure I'll ask for other tips and suggestions when the trip gets closer!
Thanks a bunch!
Re: mzovoce
If you are up for any show then I would DEFINITELY go the TKTS route. Go to broadway.com and see what's playing that interests you. You can also check out clips on youtube. The Tony's are on this Sunday so that's going to really change things up a bit. Don't forget Wednesdays most shows have a matinee and an evening performance.
I also have a concert in NYC the first weekend in August, just as a plug :-)
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately we won't be there the first weekend in August otherwise I'd go see your concert.
