how much does your 6-7 month old eat?
DD takes four 7oz bottles + a bowl of cereal, a bowl of cereal w/ baby food in it, & 1 whole baby food container. lately she's been waking up around 9-10pm hungry.
just wondering what to increase -- formula, cereal, baby food, or add some table food? what's everyone else doing?
Re: how much does your 6-7 month old eat?
i've got a peanut of a 7 mos old. she'll be weighed this weekend, but she's probably around 14 lbs.
she gets 2-3oz of purees 3x a day (full stage 1 jar or half or so of a stage 2). we stopped oatmeal and rice cereals since it was constipating to her. she gets 12 oz bm during the daycare day and nurses 4 times with me (so no idea what she gets then). i toss her a teething cookie bar thing while we eat dinner, but i dount she gets much from that.
last night she polished off the entire stage 2 jar i opened.
we went to the ped on friday. he wants the boys to have 3 meals a day. first and last are cereal with fruit, the middle is cereal with veggie. they get about 4 tablespoons of cereal about 2 oz of fruit/veggie at a serving.
they also get a bottle with the meal. they're still eating every 3 hours except at night. they eat about 5-7 oz per bottle.
my son eats cereal and 2/3oz of fruit with 5oz bottle for breakfast
4oz of yogurt with 1oz of fruit mixed in + 7/8 oz bottle for lunch
7/8oz bottle at 4pm
3oz of veggies with cereal for dinner at 5:30
6/7oz bottle at 7:30 bedtime
my LO is a little older than yours but this is basically what he has been eating for the past 2 months. we started lunch/yogurt at 6mths, started with 2oz with fruit but recently upped it to 4oz.
m's just over 6 mths...
breakfast - 1-2 TBSP's oatmeal, 1-2 TBSP fruit
6 oz bottle
4 oz bottle
lunch - 2 TBSP veggies, 1 TBSP fruit
6 oz bottle
4 oz bottle
dinner - 1 - 2 TBSP rice, 2 TBSP veggies, 1 TBSP fruit, 4oz bottle (the bottle usually carries over for an hour or so) also, sometimes she'll look for more when we finish up her fruit, so we may give her another TBSP
4 - 6 oz bottle at bedtime...
she's was just weighed yesterday and is 19.8lbs, 90% for her age
