San Antonio

I was going to post this on the San Antonio board, but there looks to be nothing going on over there. DH and are going to San Antonio at the end of the month (I have training, lucky him gets to chill all day). Any recommendations of things to do, places to go (eat). Besides seeing the Alamo...seen it a couple times, nothing has changed. Has any one done the river dinner cruise thing?

ETA: We are staying the Embassy Riverwalk

I haven't done the dinner cruise, but just the cruise.  It's pretty cool!  DH took me to the Tower of the Americas for a really nice dinner one time.  I loved it!

The one time we went, all we did was walk up and down the River Walk.  I think we just stopped and ate wherever we were when we got hungry and none of it was memorable.

Me too!  Both times I've been down recently, we haven't done much of anything other then try out some places on the Riverwalk to eat. We did make the walk to the market square to pick up some tiles.

I'm going to take advantage of this thread, too. We are taking a weekend trip to San Antonio for our anniversary in a few months.

Casa Rio is my favorite on the riverwalk too!  We did the dinner boat cruise a LONG time ago when my grandpa retired.  I remember it being fun, but I was probably 12 at the time.

If you like parks, you can always hit up Sea World or Fiesta Texas.

La Cantera is a gorgeous outdoor mall.  For the most part it has the same stores as our malls here, but it is a beautiful setting.  There is also a hotel and golf course there.  It is definitely worth going to walk around, have lunch, and maybe a massage or something fun.
