I see that you used Krylon to revamp most of your brass fixtures. ALL of our doorknobs, handles, hinges, etc are brass and I would love to redo them in brushed nickel, rather than spending tons of money to replace them. Can I pick your brain for some tips?
One thing I think may be difficult is that the doorknobs are "antique" glass handles and I don't know if I will be able to remove them for the painting process. I don't want them to get covered with paint though. How could I ensure they are covered well?
THANKS! (in advance)

Hi!
Do you have a pic of these doorknobs so I can see what you mean? There should definitely be a way to remove them... I wouldn't even try painting them on the door honestly because of all the overspray, the fumes, the prep work and difficulty getting in all the angles. Even if removing them is a total pain it's going to be way better than trying to spray them on the door.
For the hinges, I actually just ended up finding some relatively cheap on Amazon rather than spraying them. It was worth it just for all the hours of time it saved. But spray painting was worth it for the doorknobs!
Oh, I can definitely get the plates and the knobs off the door. It's separating the glass doorknob from the brass hardware that I am worried about
They pretty much look like this without the lock:

Ohh those are pretty! They would definitely look better with the brushed nickel. I have no idea about removing the knobs since I've never dealt with those but seems like it'd be as simple as covering them with some painters tape while you spray. I'd probably just go that route as you don't want to do any damage.
Just do a few light coats with ample drying time in between. The Krylon applies so well so it should be real easy. Know that with the plunger parts (those two things that push in to keep the door closed), the spray paint will come off since they are constantly rubbing against the metal trim piece.
Good luck and you better post pics when they are done!

Crap, DH and I just dropped $200 changing all the locks/knobs and crap on the house. Maybe I should've thought of this first. Although, in my defense, the locks/knobs on the outside doors needed changing anyway, and the inside knobs would've clashed big time.
I totally need to think of more ways to DIY stuff.
