Transplanting Bearded Irises??
We have a rental property with beautiful bearded irises that have outgrown their bed. I would like to dig some up and replant them out our house.
Any ideas on the best time to do this? I've not been over there in sometime, but I think they have already bloomed once.
Any specific suggestions? Or experiences doing this?

Re: Transplanting Bearded Irises??
Like NB said, do it in the fall once the foliage dies back. Cut off the dead stuff (I usually leave 3" or so of leaves) and then dig away!
I used to bring irises in to work every year when I thinned out my bed. AFter a few ears my coworkers finally told me to stop as they were all up to their ears in irises now after planting my cast offs.
