So we have some workers here to replace part of our roof.
I just saw the guy in charge go behind our shed and take a leak.
That seems wrong. Is this normal practice for construction workers, to pee in the yard of the people they are working for???
It's not like we go and play back there, but still! GROSS!
Re: Am I overreacting?
Gross.. yes. Overreacting?... ehhhh.
At our old office I used to have a window view of our dumpster. Yes the lovely dumpster.
There were ALWAYS construction guys going behind the dumpster to piss. I used to laugh and then gather everyone in the office to watch. We couldn't see them actually peeing... just standing there. We would count how many came out with their pants down. Hey it lightened our day. The best were the ones that popped a squat. Yeah, you know men aren't squatting to pee.
Anyway... if there's no where to pee.... gotta go somewhere.
But there's a bathroom on the 1st floor that I'd be happy to let them use (and I said "let me know if you need anything"). So there's a perfectly lovely place to go pee, with fabulous blinds that have shiny butterflies on them! LOL. DH just went out there before he left, and said i was in the house, and if they need to use the bathroom they can... he didn't say anything about peeing behind the shed. He probably gets it since he's a guy!
Okay gross about popping a squat. There better be no crap back there!
I kind of think you're overreacting. I can count on one hand how many contractors have actually asked to use my bathroom while working on my house, if they're working outside especially. Even when my uncle and cousin did work here they rarely used my bathroom. I think it's something to do with not going into the home further than their work requires. Should something happen or go missing, or break, etc., they have the "alliby" that they didn't go in.
Edit: I also think it is some (contractor) companies' policies to not go in the client's home. And, while it may be kinda gross that they're peeing out in your yard, at least urine is sterile! I guess I'm not really grossed out by that because I camped for years, and heck, I had my daughter pee in my trunk the other day! ;P
