Oh, yeah. I didn't get it.
It was down to me and one other person, and they chose the person with more experience. It is really cool that I made it as far as I did considering I'm a first year teacher. This particular school is affiliated with the university in town and has student teachers/observers from the college of education over there every day. Most of the teachers in the building have their masters and some have their doctorate. I'm bummed, but at the same time not. My principal felt guilty about being excited that I'll be at my school another year at least, but it's nice to know that I've wanted where I'm at. Next year, though, I'll have to look a little harder for a job closer to home because I don't know if I can continue this drive for more than another year, both mentally and financially.

I am so sorry! Your positive attitude is great! I agree it is wonderful that you made it so far in the process as a first year teacher. Also great that your are loved and wanted at your school.
Pregnancy is going well so far. I have an ultrasound on Tuesday and I cannot wait to see my little Greenbean. I cannot believe that I am 6 weeks along today.
