spotting at 9 weeks
Hi there. I just wanted to see if any of you have experienced something similar. I am 9 weeks pregnant today with my second. I went to the restroom this am and had light brown spotting in my underwear. When I wiped there was some light pink spotting from the vagina. I called the office and went in for eval. The docotr I saw said my cervix was closed and did not see active bleeding. I had US which showed a strong heartbaeat at 180 and the tech did not see any evidence of bleeding. She also said my cervix was normal thickness. So my question is how worried should I be? It seemed like everything was fine at my appt but I am still so so worried. Any thoughts?

Spotting can be scary! But it is completely normal. As long as it's not bright red, clots, or accompanied with heavy cramping, you are fine!
Sounds like your baby is growing strong! Congratulations!
I had a similar situation with my second just a bit earlier. I bled from 6.5-8 weeks. Went in for two u/s in that time (one at 6 wks 5 days and one at 8 weeks) and saw strong h/b both times. It was very nervewracking especially since I didn't have any spotting with my first but the OB assured me it was normal. Hang in there mama- sounds like things checked out great which is awesome news!
