My grandparents had their 60th anniversary
SIXTY YEARS!!! That is just amazing to me. My aunt had a small get together and had a mini replica of their wedding cake made. They held the knife and cut the cake and fed it to each other just like on their wedding day--so cute.
I told them DH and I are only 58 years behind them--that seems so impossibly long (in general, not to be married to DH). Then my grandfather told me on the way to the honeymoon from the reception, they only made it to Hanover, PA before they had to stop and "love". Thanks for that, Granddad.
Re: My grandparents had their 60th anniversary
the last portion of your post made me chuckle.
Congrats to them!
That's so sweet! (the anniversary part i mean)
And then an excessive amount of information...oversharing grandparents. gotta love 'em. I'm sad(horrified) to say that my first thought was to wonder whether they did it in the car or got a motel room. Why do I think these things?
My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!
That is wonderful! Granddad oversharing is pretty darn funny.
Awww, happy anniversary to them!
