My Moms neighbor has had a black lab mix named Zeus for several years. He has always lived outside, even during the long winters. My Mom feeds him because the people do not take care of him. He has become her adopted dog through the fence. The people who own him are only using him as a guard dog. It is a very sad situation. He is very sweet towards us and licks us when we feed him. However she will be heart broken if anything happens to him.
Recently the owners came to my Mom and said they would be moving soon and he can not take him with him. He wanted to know if we knew anyone that could take him. He said he has a friend that said he would take him but would likely use him for dog fighting in Baltimore. My Mom can not take him she has cats and he just wouldnt mix. I have a dog myself but live in a small townhouse. Please help us find him a home. He is about 7 years old and would make a great pet once rescued. I just would rather someone step in and help get him a home before he becomes a fighting dog or worse be put down. The neighbor is moving Wednesday and we need to find him a home before then. Please let me know if you need any other information.

I second this group. I actually got a dog from them in July. I think DH would kill me if I brought a 3rd large dog home...
