Well if this isn't motivation...
I don't know what is! I was walking with 2 of my friends last night. We are all heavier set...trying to get healthy! We aren't crazy obese, but we are chunky.
So as we are walking last night, a truck full of high school guys drive by and one yells out 'Hey it's the big girls club!!!"
Ugh...
Re: Well if this isn't motivation...
What a jerk!
Just remember, in 5 years he will be balding, have severe halitosis, and be lonely. Life always catches up to those types fast.
*KARATE CHOP*
.l..little effer...
Kids are mean as hell...and it will catch up to him. I know one guy who was an a-hole in high school and he got hit by a garbage truck and it ran over his foot...now one foot is almost 2 sizes bigger than the other....he looks really stupid....karma
That's a little extreme, dontcha think? We were all teenagers once and know what little bastards teen boys can be. Life will catch up to them too, just like pp said, but wishing they crashed? Too far.
The longer DH and I work with high schoolers, the more we see how much bad family lives play out in acting out like that.
So... I am definitely sorry you had to hear those words on your walk... that stinks! But... it also makes me wonder what's going on in their lives that they think that's ok.
MY BLOG!
Waddabunch of jerks! That makes me ragey and I think if someone yelled at me I would have thrown my water bottle at the truck. If that makes them stop, great...cause if they have the balls to yell it out the truck window then they better have the balls to say it to my face (which I highly doubt, HS boys can easily be put in their place when they are called out on their stupid actions.)
I swear, kids/teens are getting meaner each year. Not that I have personal experience or anything; I just live vicariously through my sister who is a 7th grade teacher. This year she was called fat, a she had a student kick another student in the face, one demanded that she take the students ipod home and download a list of songs for her, and of course they all don't listen and don't give a hoot about school.
Oh, and don't let stupid hormone ridden highschool boys get you down about how you look or feel about yourself, because at that age they think all women should look like Jessica Alba. They're dumb, D U M dumb.
The thing that bothers me most is that we were power walking so we can get healthy and yet they still yell that. It wasn't like we were lounging outside shoving food in our mouths. Jeesh...ya know we want to get healthy and are ACTIVELY doing so and yet we still get teased.
PS: I will AW and say I have lost 10lbs...even though I just ate way too many cookies that we had left over from a party this weekend
Woo!! Good job! Be proud of that and ignor those boys!!
MY BLOG!
I have been to my 25th ,30th and now 35th high school reunions...and I have this to say about the pretty popular people and life goes down the road. Mother Nature is a hormonal *** having hot flashes. There are people who are NOT recognizable. For the most part, strangely, the women in my class have held up much better than the buys. The pop jocks have turned into balding office managers in pants pulled up under a 9 month beer belly with an unfortunate comb-over.
I look PRETTY darn good in comparison...and I'm way nicer and more fun.
Their time will come.
I didn't say I wish he died, or got hurt even, but if he hit a hydrant or the curb or something equally inanimate...well. And I do hate teenagers, I hated them when I was a teenager and I am really no fonder of them now.
I DREAD Liam's teenage years...I hate teenagers and, like Witchy and Munkii, hated teenagers when I was one. I can only hope I do a good enough job parenting Liam so he won't be a complete douche to strangers, but man...peer pressure is a b!tch and teenage boys are, by nature, stupid.
I am only 10 years out of HS, but I will say that time has a way of evening the playing field and their day is coming. All of those popular kids that gave me a hard time in HS are sending me friends requests on FB...I always accept because it makes me feel good to know that we've all pretty much ended up in the same place (and my life seems much more glamorous, at least on paper!).
Kudos to you for the weight loss!
