Ocean City help needed!

So you may recall a while back me asking about OC rentals...I'm going to a bachelorette party this weekend there and suddenly it has become my job to throw this altogether and I have never been there! Yikes! Anyways, I'm looking for 2 things: any suggestions for dinner on Saturday night that might take reservations? And anyone know the top secret 'back way' to OC? Something about going the back way towards Dewey and then cutting down route 1...let me know:)

Re: Ocean City help needed!

  • I'm not sure if their reservation policies are any different in the summer, but we had a big family party at Fager's Island last winter.  Their dining area is quite nice, and there's a great view for sunset:  http://fagers.com/menu.php

As for the backway... There's really not a "backway" to Dewey, since it's only a couple blocks wide and Rt 1 is the main street.  However, I can give you some backroad directions to Rt 1 that get you off of Rt 50 and Rt 404.  They add about 25 min to the drive though, so they're only worth it if traffic is really bad.  If you want them though, send me an email at jenn248 at gmail.

    Have fun!

  • I have heard good things about Galaxy 66. I imagine they take reservations. It's on my list to try next time I am in Ocean City. I don't know a back way to OC that goes towards Dewey. I just suck it up and take 50 since my parents live in Salisbury. But then I get on Route 90 from 50.

I know there is a way to go that gets you off 50 earlier than 90 and gets you to Fenwick Island and then you can cut down on 1/Coastal Hwy to OC.

  • Thanks, ladies!
