Tell me about fruit trees in NJ
DH's birthday is coming up and I'm at a loss on what to get him. He keeps eyeing fruit trees at garden centers but I keep telling him no because we have no room for one but now I'm thinking that may be a cool gift.
Any suggestions for a good fruit tree to grow in coastal NJ (zone 7), that doesn't take up a lot of space and is pretty easy to care for? We only have room for one tree so if it needs a second to pollinate, that won't work for our yard.
Re: Tell me about fruit trees in NJ
Peaches! They're self-pollinating. When I was a child in NY, we had peach trees, apple trees, and a huge Mulberry.
