Since the board is slow, and casey anthony is getting on my nerves; let's talk about something else.
This morning when I was getting ready for work I had kenny chesney on- (Kenny chesney induces all sorts of crazy fantasies --not sex you freaks)..
I was brushing my teeth and dreaming about how awesome it would be to sell everything and move away- Costa Rica? Bahamas? Turks & Caicos. Anywhere tropical. Or, maybe live on a boat. I have this fantasy often. Weekly maybe?
One of my BFFs is moving to Key West July 1st, and that is only making my fantasies even worse. Her & her H both were restaurant mgrs. About 3-4 mths ago they both quit in the same wknd. Hung out for about a month, got jobs @ publix, decided they hated it, now they are moving to the Keys- which is a dream of theirs.
Do I even need to say how jealous I am of this? Seriously. If I could pay of all our debt, sell our house, and move to the keys I would move so fast your head would spin. (if we had ZERO debt..but only zero. no car pymts, nothing )
What is something you dream/fantasize about?
Re: I get lost in my dreams
Sometimes I worry bc my dreams never include kids.
(i'm so far behind in your posts..how much longer till you move?)
No debt.
Finish my degree.
New job.
Books.
Living in a huge urban city.
Happy, healthy DD always and forever.
It's totally normal for your dreams to not include kids. If you decide to have kids someday, you'll have dreams for them/ about them then. If you choose not have kids, well, that probably would make you one of the sanest people I know
. Maybe I'm a neglectful mom because even though I have kids, my real night-time dreams rarely include them.
It's funny you should mention posts, I just remembered this morning that I needed to get caught up on your blog. FTR, I like your silly faces so keep them coming!
We fly out on June 26th. Friday is my last day of work, next week the movers come pack up our stuff, then we'll be down in FL, then back to DC to tie-up loose ends and catch our big flight!
I've always said I would love to just pack everything up and move to the Cayman Islands. Every time we go there we eat at a little restaurant right on the beach and I always say that I'm pretty sure I could wait tables on a beach for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy.
Ooooh, or I would kill to be able to take a year off from everything and just travel the world.
Dream buzzkill: Student loans!
Other, more possible dreams? Live in London, have a book published, own my own jury consulting firm, be a mom.

No debt!!
Move to Alaska--I absolutely love it there.
No worries!
Lately I have been daydreaming about traveling abroad, mostly to cities in Asia. I'm really fascinated by the space-age modern looking skylines of cities like Singapore and Hong Kong. I would love to see those places in person. At the same time, traveling out of the country intimidates me.
I get a little depressed because MH is not very interested in travel. We had a little fight last night because I was asking him "if you could travel anywhere in the world for free and you could just snap your fingers and appear there, without the long plane rides, where are you interested in traveling?" He couldn't even name one place. He's just missing that desire that most people have to see the world. He's never been out of the country aside from St. Lucia for our HM and Mexico and the Bahamas on cruises. He admitted that once he's older, he'll probably be more interested but right now he's just content to see the US first. I wish he was more excited about traveling abroad.
I've never been to Grand Caymen, but I bet I'd love it there too. Chris, me, and my Dad have this ongoing conversation about how we'd all move to the Bahamas and work in a marina or something.
My dream right now is to be a SAHM, which shocks me because I NEVER would have thought I'd want that. Unfortunately it's impossible for us right now since my H just started a business, so I am the breadwinner and carry health benefits for the family. Maybe someday!
Another dream is having my MIL back off and not be so nosey and annoying, but fat chance of that happening, ha!
The thread title has this stuck in my head:
I get lost
In your eyes
And I feeeeeeeeeeeeel
My spirits rise
And soar like the wind
Is this love
That I am in?
I get weak
At a glance
Isn't this
What's call romance?
...
If you followed that, high fives for being a big dork like me.
LOL
My dreams/fantasies:
Lots of international travel
Being best friends with my daughter like I am with my mom
Getting a very nice boat and spending every weekend with H and the kids on it
Having a ripped body with killer abs
Writing a bestseller
Having a house with a huge amazing kitchen
Growing old with my H
And lastly, this one is really out there, moving to a cool place like SF (even though I love it here and don't like the cold) and H and I owning a yoga studio.
I definitely got that song in my head right away when first spotting this thread!
I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
80s song by Debbie Gibson:

WHAAA? Really? Please tell me you at least know E-LEC-TRIC YOUTH! Zappin it to ya....
lol. Yah, i'm getting that a lot lately.
Today on the elevator a lady asked me if I worked int he building. I said yes. She said, what do you do. I told her I'm an ofc mgr.
she looked shocked..and says, "really, you look so young." I said, i'm 26. Then she asked if I had just graduated college. I Said no. i didn't go to college. then she called me a brat. lol. .yah. that was weird.
@ the liquor store last week the lady told me I looked 16.
The week before a patient asked to see my wedding ring and asked if it was new.. (lol, i've been seeing this patient since february).. I said no, but you prob don't see it cuz of my gloves. He asked how long 've been married.. The home care nurse was also with him and when I said 2 yrs she said, "Really? you look very young."
thanks. I think?
lol. no
I don't know any Debbie Gibson - that I know of. I was born in 84-- It also doesn't help that my music knowledge is limited to nsync & BSB.. jk..sort of. lol.
I'm not even the youngest on this board.
OMG, I was totally going to say something, but I thought no one would know what I was talking about.
I always think of Paula Abdul, Debbie Gibson, Belinda Carlisle, and the Bangles when I think of my childhood. Oh, and some Janet Jackson.
Awesome! What have you done for me lately? ooh ooh ooh yeah...
and we used to have a band and I was Suzanna Hoffman by the way. My vacuum cleaner was my microphone stand.
I'm green w/ jealousy right now. Just talked to my friend. They signed a lease last week while they were in KW. i googled. omg. It sucks that its an 8hr drive from our house to theirs.. and it's $416 to fly (that is just absurd).
YES. Not Debbie Gibson, you crazies. This is clearly a Paula thread.

Paula was my absolute favorite! Plus my friends and I made up a dance to "Straight Up" and I still remember how part of it went. We also danced to "Opposites Attract" in the 2nd grade talent show. I wore rainbow-colored leopard print stretch pants and a black leotard. The pants had a hole in the crotch that was barely covered by the leotard but I just hoped no one would notice while I danced. Clueless 7 year old!
LOL! That's funny! Oh, the 80s.
My friends would come over and we would put on all our best neon clothing and dance to that whole tape (ha!) in my basement. We would take turns dancing while the others waved flashlights at the dancers, like strobe lights or whatever. Good times!

Don't forget Tiffany, Debbie Gibson's arch nemesis!
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
Could've been my lover
Every day of my life
Love that song!
Sorry Jena- your thread turned into an 80's music fest. Nicole started it
