Mosquitoes repellent and mosquitoes bites
Ladies,
dd and I are already full of bites from our lovely friends in the backyard. What can you suggest to use? I already spray myself and dd but I hate that we have to take a shower afterwords (I hate to go to bed with the spray on) and they still bite me!!
Any suggestions?
TIA
Re: Mosquitoes repellent and mosquitoes bites
My mom uses a garlic spray (she makes it herself I believe) and that works pretty well. She sprays the whole yard with it... smells like an Italian restaurant and you don't have to work about chemicals.
As for the bites you have now, something with ammonia seems to work best. I like "Afterbite" but I've been known to dab windex on them too.
Try Lemon/Eucalyptus essential oil as a repellent.

Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
She usually eyeballs it - but she said it's about 1/2 cup minced garlic, 1 Tbs olive oil, 1 tsp cayenne pepper and two cups of water.
Cook it down, strain if you want, put in a spray bottle.
