Re: Poll: In the past five years...
In the past 5 years I've graduated college, moved 4 times, adopted 2 cats and 1 dog, got married, traveled to Ireland, got knocked up, started grad school and bought a house.
It's been a busy and life-altering few years!

I already graduated college and had a house, soooo
got a dog, got engaged, married, went to hawaii, changed jobs twice, traveled to South Padre Island, Tampa Bay, Mexico twice, Tallahassee, leased another car, finished my MBA, bought another house (not exactly in that order)
Uhhh...
Got married, switched jobs, bought a house, added a new furbaby to the clan, went to the DR, had a couple of surgeries, robbed a bank....I think that's it.
Told ex-fiance to shove it.
Met, got engaged and married DH.
Moved 3 times.
Got our darling dog.
Delivered a baby.
Changed jobs three times-went from Chrysler to a supplier who was recently sold (and I couldn't relocate to Pittsburgh) and then found my current job.
Traveled to 5 countries (including China which was on my bucket list).
Currently surviving DH"s layoff and we should hear soon about a potential job.
Currently basking in some super amazing news (I.am.NOT.pregnant again, Sheila...LOL) which will dramatically change my life.
Had just started a new job but changed positions in the company recently
Got engaged
Moved in to DH's condo
Got married
Moved back to my condo
got KU
Had DD
Survived layoff threats and survived DH being laid off for a bit
Got a new car (well leased than bought it at the end)
Became an aunt and godmother
Lost my grandpa
Bought a house
Traveled to: Alaska, Cali, Boston, NY, Chicago, and many places in MI
June 2006-June 2011
got engaged, bought a house, adopted our fur child, got married, left Hyatt b/c I couldn't move, started at my current job, started my company, my mom got married, my brother got married and my step brother got married, H started and finished law school, supported us for 2 years through law school (GO ME!), put our 18-year old dog to sleep, H got a crappy job, H got a great job, 3 new cars for me (Leases), traveled all over the Us for work and fun, my God daughter turned 16, I became an aunt to my niece, fostered 3 dogs- it's been a great 5 years
In the past 5 years...
~ Walked the Breast Cancer 3 Day (5 yrs ago this summer). Got two promotions then got laid off, had a month to enjoy summer then started a new job in a completely different industry. Dealt with 1 year of DH being unemployed. Re-landscaped our front yard (DIY style). Was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and Hypothyroidism -- Went Gluten Free! Finally traveled west of the Mississippi (Albuquerque, San Diego and Seattle). Experienced 2+ years of unexplained IF. Bought a new (very old) house - learned A LOT about renovation. Said goodbye to our little Diva's sister. Survived two rounds of down-sizing and a buyout at work. Got a promotion. Became a one-car family.

Moved back to Detroit area from East Lansing.
Got my current job.
Got our second dog, Hank.
Met DH, dated him for 7 months, got engaged, got married.
Took my first small road trip in at least 20 years with just DH. We went to Gulf Shores, AL for a wedding.
Went to Disney and Hawaii with DH.
Got pregnant and delivered our beautiful Peyton.
Bought our amazing house in Novi that really can't be built quickly enough!
- Finished law school & passed the bar exam
- Started working my first real job
- Adopted two kitties
- Got engaged and married
- Moved from Ann Arbor to Midland and back again
- Started my second real job
- Took first trip outside the U.S. (and then another one)
Planned a wedding, got married, became a homeowner (by default- dh bought it before we were engaged), got a dog, had 2 kids.
Within the work life- was moved from working in a group home to residential treatment center, took a year off (kid #1), went back to work with a critical care unit within the RTC, took a year off (kid #2), quit 2 jobs at the same time, moved to MI.
I'm happier than I was 5 years ago, hands down.
