"Dirty Thirty" theme?
Good Mornig - I am throwing my husband a surprise 30th (just decided after abandoning plan A) in August and want some sort of theme to work with...they are so limited for guys! Do you think the "dirty thirty' theme is a decent one? If so - give me your best centerpiece/decoration ideas! thanks in advance!

I keep picturing a dirty martini.
Maybe a Rat Pack - type theme. That's a stretch though!
I don't know that centerpieces are that important for a guy's 30th. Do you want to keep it casual day time or evening cocktail?
If you do evening cocktail, you could have dirty martini's as a signature drink and some Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra music playing in background.
I wouldn't worry about centerpieces. Maybe you can silver ballons everywhere for a festive touch.

I threw DH a 30 party last year and just used the decor at our local party supply store. They had great stuff. I got balloons in his favorite colors, I had a yard sign by the mailbox (and balloons) I got at the party store. Then I didn't do much else than that. I didn't want it to be too cheesy.
Our menu was easy and some of his favorite foods - BBQ, baked beans, corn, etc. Plus, I picked up a cake at Sams Club too.
A couple fun things about the party was that everybody had to wear a name tag around their neck with DH's face on it and list what they liked about DH. There were very funny things listed. Then I'd blown up some pictures with DH and each guest over the years of their friendship and had those sitting around. We also did a "DH Trivia Game" that I made up and the winner got a gift card to one of DH's favorite lunch spots in town. It was a lot of fun and DH loved spending the day like that with his best buds.
