Need your ideas :)
So, on my bump board, I am participating in an elfster exchange (think anonymous secret santa) and we will be assigned another expecting mommy. The first exchange was focused on onesies (and other little tidbits). This upcoming one (my first time participating) will be centered around a little bit of everything. Our limit is $20-$25 and I have a month to shop and ship. I'm just wondering what you ladies might suggest. [Side note: any suggestions will be centered around my mommy's theme, colors, preferences, etc.] Here are some things I thought might be nice... (feel free to criticize)
- A mini manicure set (mommy's need pampering too)
- Hospital survival kit (chapstick, puzzle books, earplugs, eye mask, disposable camera, etc.)
- Personalized tote for a quick outing (not a full on diaper bag)
- quilted/sewn baby blankies... nothing too fancy (fabric can get expensive)
- A humorous pregnancy book (something that will provoke laughter instead of anxiety)
Feel free to input any ideas or opinions. I've never really done something other than a boring secret santa before and I couldn't participate in the first one. I'd be open to hearing any and all ideas from you ladies

I like the hospital kit too, but I agree about digital cameras. I also LOVE the picky stickies - that is precious!!
Side note: I keep seeing all these cool things that I don't want to forget when I have a baby. I want to go ahead and buy them now so I have them ready haha. But I resist... so I just have a google-doc with some ideas. Picky Stickies are totally going on there right now
Has your bumpie (is that what y'all call each other over there) placed any items on her elfster wishlist? I know that when we did our secret santa for another board last winter I just purchased something directly from what they wanted because...well...they wanted it.
With that being said, should she not have mentioned anything, I really like the idea of the hospital survival kit. Chances are, she may have already received or has in her back pocket a realm of totes and/or purses she can us, so I would avoid those. A baby blanket is ALWAYS appreciated by mommies, or so I've witnessed at various showers.
Maybe she has a registry you can go online and look at as well to get some ideas of things she likes?
