Ranunculus question
I planted nine ranunculus about six weeks ago. They were blooming beautifully until we went away for about a week. When we came back, all but two had lost all their leaves -- all that was left was the flower stalk with a rather ugly seed head on top. It rained several times while we were gone, so I don't think lack of water is the issue. Do ranunculus normally die back if they are not deadheaded?

Yes, they crap out. Deadheading won't help.
