It is a "driving range" with microchipped balls....more so focusing on hanging out and drinking more than being good at golf
I personally LOVE Top Golf!!! It's a great way to spend a few hours for only a little bit of $
Think "bowling alley" for golf.
It is a lot of fun! It's basically a driving range and you hit the balls into these big rings on the green and a computer scores you based on where the ball lands.
I definitely didn't find it to be inexpensive though....
I compare it to skee ball. That's what it reminds me off.
I've only played once, but it's actually fun!

Considering other options, like bowling, I thought it was....
It is $35 for a membership, which includes 6 free games. You could spend about 3 hrs there and play 2 games. Then just buy a pitcher of beer!
There is that upfront cost, but I bought a membership in December 2010, and I still have like 1 game left. It's nice to go and have games already on my card and only have to pay for beer...plus once you sign up they send free games via email ALL THE TIME to me!
