My hometown is the set of a new movie!
My hometown of Cedartown is going to be one of the locations for the upcoming movie with Billy Bob Thornton, Jayne Mansfield's Car. I think it's pretty cool. It's just one of those little north Georgia, podunk, redneck towns. They are filming for three or four days at the end of June. They picked Cedartown for the old theater that's on Main Street. I sent in my information to be an extra. Billy Bob Thornton went there last month to walk around and FB blew up with "BBT sightings." Everyone was freaking out and wondering what he was doing there. Then it was announced they were scouting the city for a possible movie location. This is probably one of the best things that has ever happened in my town. Haha.

awesome. I love BBT - we randomly will throw out a French Fried Pertaters MMMMHMMM
They'll be filming The Walking Dead @ "the CDC" aka the Cobb Energy Center on Monday night.
Call me Kat =^..^=
I love the filming that has been going on. They've been filming a movie out front of my building and all around midtown lately.
Zombieland was filmed in my hometown. You can see the Bank of Coweta in the background of some of the shots. It's cool when they film somewhere that you know.
I knew it was filmed in GA when they show the long shot of the deserted freeway - there's a busted old van in the front of the shot with an old 99X sticker on the back!
Call me Kat =^..^=
super cool!
the reason they've been filming so much stuff here in GA (the walking dead, vampire diaries, etc) is because back in '08 governor perdue signed the georgia entertainment industry investment act.
