State health officials are warning the public that someone with measles may have exposed others in the past week to the highly contagious viral illness.

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued a statement Wednesday indicating that a person with measles traveled through the areas of Catonsville, the Eastern Shore and downtown Baltimore in the past week.

Anyone who may have been at the following locations at the listed times may have been exposed to measles, state officials said. ...

  • The sad thing is, this perfect example of the gaping holes in herd immunity will be just sloughed off by the anti-vaxers.

  • UMBC graduation, orioles game (to and from which the person rode the light rail) and applebee's at Easton.  Nice public outings. 

     I'm with LSG - this makes me stabby.  (not the person with measles per se, because I do not know their health history, but the whole vaccine debate.)

  • Thank you for posting the details of where the person has been- I have a friend w/ a young baby (too young for the MMR shot) who lives in Easton.
