Someone had asked what farm we go to. I finally found it.
It's Turtle Farm near Granger - http://www.turtle-farm.com/TheFarmStand.htm
I just called this morning and they said berries are ripening. They need to pick a certain amount for their CSA and that will happen in the next 1.5-2 weeks. After that they'll open it up to U-pick.
They have a great little no frills farm. The berries are organic, so it's not that big of a deal if the little ones sample some on the way home. They're also easy to get to so you don't have to hike across acres to get to them.
I know we'll plan a trip out there. If anyone wants me to let them know when we go, I can do that. We might also check out other farms.
Re: u-pick strawberries : update
Yay! I would love to go, plus that is right by my house.
