So with any luck DH and I are going to go out to dinner tonight, alone, for the first time since C was born.
The dressiest thing DH has with him is jeans and a polo, so it has to be casual, but I'd like it to be someplace we haven't been, and different/fun. We eat nearly everything - the only limitations are that DH doesn't like sushi, and Italian has to be really authentic. And the location needs to be Pleasanton/Dublin/San Ramon/Livermore/Sunol (C will be in Pleasanton, so I don't want to waste too much time traveling far like to Oakland/WC).
I was thinking about RedCoats in downtown Pleasanton, not super attached to it, but they serve a beer on tap I used to get back in the day.
Re: Dinner suggestion in tri-valley area?
Casa Orozco in Dublin. Great mexican food and margaritas.
Izzy's in San Ramon - Our favorites are their drunken shrimp, and pork chop. They also have amazing creamed spinach.
Red Coat is always good though so that's tough.
A few places DH and/or I have been to and like:
Stacey's Cafe (Main Street, Pleasanton) -- might be one of my top choices
De La Torre's Trattoria (Pleasanton)
Chow (Danville)
Coco Cabana (Dublin)
Casa Orozco (Dublin)
Blue Agave Club (Main Street, Pleasanton)
Koi Garden (Dublin)
And First Street Alehouse in Livermore. Great food, fun atmosphere. It does get pretty busy, though.
