Help ???? Baby shower

i was asked to help a friend plan her baby shower, i cant even say friend i am actually her landlord and my husband has know her husband for some time

 

this is their 2nd baby they were both in the military when they had there first. her mom threw her a small shower and she said she has no ideal how or what to do for a shower. All her family lives in a diff state now and she really has no-one to help her  so thats were i come in

 

they only want to do something small and have a small budget to work with. they need almost everything there first was a boy and they have moved several times due to them both being in the military. this baby is a girl. so i think even a small shower is a good ideal

any suggestions please !!!!!!! thanks

First off 2nd baby's technically don't get showers they get sprinkles :-) Which is more of a just diapers and games thing and not really gifts.

Google baby shower games. Have her ok them because some people don't like the baby food testing thing and all that.

As for food you can do it in between lunch and dinner and then you'd only need to have snack foods and cake.

I love diaper cakes and they are really easy to make and super cute :-)

We had mine at DD's grandmas house, there was about 20 women there and it was perfect.

the BEST baby showers i have been to have been co-ed, casual showers.  we will do ours co-ed when we someday in the far off future get prego.  our dream shower: BaByQ (bbq theme kind of) with a bbq/food, some cocktails for people, no games, but lots of mingling.  i also think people will not mind buying gifts for someone having their second child, but i would tell them not to register for anything outrageous like a BOB--that is a first time gift only!
