So today is the grand opening of Matt's new office. YAY!
On the one hand I am so proud of him for taking a risk to do something he really wants to do and is good at. Their new office has come together so well and they are doing pretty well business-wise as far as meeting their expenses and generating new business and contacts.
Soooo ... if any of y'all have any new business juju to spare and would like to send it towards Fort Andross today, I would appreciate it oh so much 
Because then there's the "on the other hand" part which I'm not really able to talk to him about yet because it seems far too Debbie Downer-ish while he's working his butt off getting ready for this event.
I am freaking terrified. They can't draw salaries yet and there is no way of knowing if/when they will ever reach that point. So far I have not asked how long he's going to give this business before deciding he needs an actual paycheck. We have been talking about the future, and we both know there's no way my salary could support two adults and half of the little dude's living expenses. It's not like I want to get married right away - but I also hope that his situation will be a little more stable soon, and there's just no way of knowing, which is kind of scary!

It's a computer business, he is one of 2 partners (right now, a 3rd may be added soon who works for them now) - he does the marketing, client relations, etc. and the other partner is the tech guy.
Csaucier - good question, I hadn't thought of that. I honestly don't even think they have a business loan, but I will check with him at some point.
I have no doubt in his abilities, it's just that starting a business is tough even in a great economy, you know?
