Too wet...

I recently went to my OBGYN and asked her how much daily discharge is too much? She told me that when she got my results back she would let me know if there was another issue but otherwise its normal. (That was about two weeks ago and I haven't heard anything.) I'm getting tired of having to wear a pantyliner almost everyday to feel clean! I'm not sure if this is due to having more sex than usual (We're newlyweds). I'm not going to stop having sex to solve the issue, but does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone else seem to have this problem as well?

Re: Too wet...

  • I had something similar before, but it wasn't bad enough to use pantyliner all day long.  And I mainly noticed it when I was having sex.  But my OBGYN tested me for BV (Bacterial Vaginosis). It is similar to a yeast infection, just a different type of bacteria.  The discharge was clear, unlike normal yeast infections.  There's a gross gel you need to insert for 5 days, but it works.

I feel like your doc probably already would have tested you for that, but sometimes I think that as obnoxious as self diagnosing is for doctors, you need to be your own advocate in this day's health care world!

    Good luck!

  • Call your doctor and ask for your test results. It may be nothing (as in no infection) and there may be no cause that shows up on whatever test they did. But by not calling, they are going to assume that you aren't having the issue anymore. Or they may have forgotten... sad, but it happens.
  • Very true...ill give them a call and see what they say ...thanks!

  • I don't think this is abnormal. That being said, I am very, very lubricated at any time of any given day. I do get that it's great for your sex life and some times inconvenient for your every day life but if you think of it as I do, at least you aren't worried about lube.

Sorry if that was a crude or insensitive answer but I can relate.
