My dad just texted to let me know that he had to take my mom to the ER for chest pains. I don't really know any other details, but hopfully it's not anything too serious.

I just talked to my dad and they are doing a cat scan because the x-ray showed enlarged lymph nodes in her chest area. I'm trying really hard not to google because I know it would freak me out.

Talked my mom and they suspect it's her gallbladder. They are doing a sonogram to make sure. Which conidentally my SIL just had surgery today to remove her's. Thank you ladies for all the thoughts and prayers.

What IS it with gallbladders these days? My dad had his removed last summer. He had a horrible attack and started going into shock (which kind of makes me wig out if I think about it too much). Originally he thought it was his heart as well but it turned out to be his gallbladder. Still sending healthy vibes your way, and I'm glad you're starting to get some answers!

Gallbladder was the first thing to come to my mind when you first posted.  I just didn't want to freak you out by saying anything.  A lot of my gallbladder ultrasound patients are people that came in through the ER with chest pain. 

It is very weird how gallstones affect multiple family members around the same time.  I have yet to find out why that happens, but I see it ALL.THE.TIME.
