Welcome home...
Well, our son decided to come a little early, and he is such a blessing! He was born last weekend - 6 lbs 13 oz.
I've always been told that there's no love like the love for your child, and all of those people were so right. It's amazing that I can love someone I've known for a week soooo much!
And it has brought Chris and me even closer...there's something about knowing you created this incredible baby with that person that makes you love them even more.
He's just a tiny little guy...this is a newborn sized hat and it's HUGE on him!

She's doing ok. She's been at my parents' house for a lot of the time. When we first brought him home, every time he would cry, she would run and grab her "baby" and just lick and lick and lick it while she was staring at me...I guess to let me know what I needed to do to make Carter feel better. Haha!

I was in labor for five hours. He was a c-section (which we knew ahead of time) so I didn't have to go to 10 cm or anything. The five hours was just from when the hard contractions started to when they got me in the OR.

Yeah, he makes that face all the time...it's adorable. It typically comes in a series of faces...that one, a smile, a pouty lip, etc. I love it.
