I wrote to him on this exact topic a couple of weeks ago.  I never got a response back (other than the auto "Thanks for writing! Your opinions are important to me...")  I hope he grows a pair and does the right thing.  I also hope they can get this to a vote sooner rather than later!

I saw that!  I'm only skeptical b/c the way he worded the statement he said something like "If the language is what I want to see I will vote for it", but he neglected to specify what that language was.  I'm excited that we could be on the verge of (finally) recognizing ALL marriages between committed couples!

He wants to make certain that churches are protected and not forced to marry SS couples or be threatened with law suits.  I'm totally fine with that.  If a church doesn't want to marry gays, gays probably don't want to get married there anyway.

I also recently contacted my state senator about this.  I really do hope we are on the verge of officially recognizing all marriages as well.  And I do agree with you last statement completely!  If that's what it takes to get this bill passed, I think there are a lot of people willing to make that compromise.
