OMG.. we went to the concert last night at the BCC and it was seriously the best concert I've ever been to!
It was nice because it felt almost like part concert, part comedy show. Michael would talk with the audience and tell jokes in between his songs. I never realized how hilarious he is. Definitely an entertainer.
At one point he walked out into the audience and was saying hello, shaking hands... and an elderly woman game up an gave him a hug.. and put both hands on his butt and squeezed! It was hilarious.
Anyways, I highly recommend yall going to a Buble concert if he ever comes back in town. I'm not big on concerts because I don't like how expensive they are, but this is one where I felt like it was worth the $$$.
Re: Michael Buble
Ah, I didn't realize that was last night! I love his song "Home". The last concert we attended was Norah Jones - LOVE her.
I didn't realize it was last night either! I don't really listen to alot of his music but I do like "Home". I actually saw a piece on him that CBS News Sunday Morning did earlier this year and they talked about how funny he can be in his shows.
Alesha - DH and I saw Norah Jones about 4 years ago. She is awesome.
Norah Jones is somebody else I would love to see. I really like her music.
Buble did a lot of his own songs, but at least half were covers of old Sinatra and Dean Martin songs.. song that everybody knows. Very good show!
Lady! I didn't know you were there! I would have looked for you!!!
Wasn't it freaking great?! I saw him last year when he came and LOVED it. I'll see him every time he comes and pay whatever kind of fat cash I have to.
People never believed me when I told them he is hilarious... lol. I'm so glad you went!!!!
Did you get there early enough to see all of the opening band's show? Those guys were blowing my mind!!!
I would have loved to see him in concert. I just love his music!
Glad you guys had a great time
Amy.. yes! We saw the opening band. That was unreal... I don't see how those guys make all those sounds. The "drummer" really sounded like drums.
Where were your seats?
After last night's kid I'm really liking the name "Bankston".. although Michael thinks it sounds too frat-tastic!
Yes, at the ampitheater. So funny I could've saw you in passing not knowing you'd be my future Nest friend. But her concert was great. But we had some obnixious people sitting behind us (we were toward the very back) so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I'd like to. We even had her Come Away With Me CD playing as the guests were arriving at our wedding.
We were section 11L row B. Our seats were just 2 rows off the floor on stage right and they were awesome!!! Ahhh!!
And please let me tell everyone how glad I am that he closes all his shows with "Song For You." His version was the last dance at our wedding. Ah, memories!
