Free photography workshop to share basic techniques
Amateur photographers are invited to a basic digital photography class 2 p.m., Saturday, June 25, at Mountain View Regional Library. Local hobby photographer Steve Roy will present a program that will focus on the organization of digital photographs and basic editing techniques. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Photographers just beginning to work with digital photographs will learn about Picasa, a free photo editing software program from Google. Participants will be shown how to use the program to organize, edit and share photos, as well as create digital prints. Important topics, such as backing up digital photographs, will also be discussed. Interested photographers should register for the class at Mountain View Regional Library or by calling 770-509-2725. The library is located at 3320 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta. For more information, visit cobbcounty.org/library.
