Who's cruised out of Baltimore??

We are considering one of the Carnival cruises out of Baltimore to Bermuda.  Has anyone done one of these trips? It seems cool that the ship sails to Bermuda and then you have three days to explore Bermuda and then sail back.

Re: Who's cruised out of Baltimore??

  • My boss just did that cruise to Bermuda.  He highly recommended it!

My parents take cruises out of Baltimore all the time.  It's so convenient!

I came fairly close to booking it while we were on our recent cruise.  I wish they offered it more times per year.  I'm worried Carnival is in the process of discontinuing the trip.

  • BFF did the RC version of this and loved it. I sailed out of. Bmore but did the carribean. Loved it. The convenience is priceless really.
  • I've done it once (and it was my only cruise, so I don't have anything else to compare it to), but I think as long as it's not in the winter than you're golden.  The convenience is great, but the majority of our trip (went to the Bahamas) was freezing cold with high winds and rough seas. I'd cruise out of Baltimore again but only in the summer.
  • I think we did the same cruise as Mary. It was a 9-day RCL cruise out of Baltimore going to the Eastern Caribbean. Very convenient and since it was our HM we enjoyed two sea days on either end of the trip to just relax.

  • ME!!! I took the Royal Caribbean cruise out of Baltimore to Bermuda last October. Parking was rather expensive though, so we got someone to pick us up and drop us off. However, it was really convenient.

  • I have!  You can't beat the convenience of not having to fly and worry about getting somewhere in time.  We didn't take a Baltimore cruise to Bermuda, but we have cruised to Bermuda before.  Just remember, Bermuda is about 600 miles off the coast of North Carolina, so it's not that far south.  Plan your trip when the weather will be nice!
  • We did this cruise in October for our honeymoon. The boat itself was great, lots of fun things to do, great food and shows. We had fun exploring Bermuda as well. I have a friend that lives there so he was able to take us around the island. The only issue we had was sailing in the Atlantic Ocean in October. About half the boat was seasick. The water is very choppy and does not make for a fun time. I would definitely take the time of year into consideration when planning your trip.

Bermuda you can really only go to in the summer time.  Since it's  so far north it doesn't stay warm like the other islands.  We went there the end of April on a re-positioning cruise and it was cold (like long sleeves cold).
