Re: Cat needing forever home

  • Hey lady! It's Devon. You should stop by & say hi more often.

GL finding a home for the kitty!

  • We are at our one cat per person limit but I wanted to ask, is it possible he wasnt abandoned and was lost? Have you put up any signs or checked with local vets/shelters for missing cat notices? You mentioned that he appeared to have been on his own for a while but that doesn't necessarily mean he was abandoned. Just a thought. Best of luck finding his owners or a forever home for him.

Ya I am sure. Called apartment complex, local vets, and shelters. Checked lost cat websites online including craigslist. Also stopped by my vet and tech checked for microchip. And I put up signs. Nothing :-/

Yeah. I kinda figured since you have a few rescues already but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. I actually have a good friend whose indoor black kitty got out on her and she still checks shelters regularly with no luck. I thought for a second maybe it was him but he had white paws. Sad

I actually already did but she responded saying she had just gone to the humane society yesterday and adopted an 18lb cat...so much for a "little" kitty.

  • I so wish could take him in! He's beautiful! But DH hates cats, and we have several family members with allergies. Good luck in finding a home for him, I'll let some friends know in case anybody wants him. Any idea how old he is?

  • I'll ask my DH tonight, we've been going back and forth on the idea of a 2nd cat. How big is he?
  • Sigh, he is precious. Looks under a year. Wish my DH wasn't allergic (physically and emotionally) :(

I think he is around a year. Seems young still. :-)

Well, he has a pretty decent size build of a normal cat. He is not a kitten size anymore....but he is skinny right now. But I think he would really fill out with some good food and time lol ;-)

oh I just asked because we have a pretty big cat - she's 15 pounds but not fat at all. we call her big boned :)

anyway, size doesn't really matter, I was just curious. I'll talk to my DH tonight, but I can't guarantee anything.
