Amada, Alma de Cuba, Buddakan, or other?

Hi! DH and I are spending the night in Philly for our anniversary. Which of the above restaurants would you recommend? Or is there another one you prefer?

DH loves steaks and seafood, I love steaks, Mexican, Italian, Spanish, no fish.

Also, any recs for a place for drinks after dinner? Nothing loud and crazy, and preferably somewhere with good wine. Are there any outdoor places? We haven't been out in Philly in a year!

amada or ranstead room or prohibition taproom for quiet drinks. 

Tria for good wine, can get loud at hh though.  

if you like steak, try butcher and singer.

I've been to Buddakan which was yummy.

For steak, ditto Butcher and Singer. Sooooooo goood. I get the aged porterhouse steak and it's to die for. And the crab cakes. Yummm. And the stuffed hashbrowns. ::sigh::now I want to go back.

You could do Barclay prime for steak too.

I think PARC is fun for an anniversary we went for ours.

I love Amada....we went there for our anniversary last year. But remember, it's tapas-style so you won't get a giant steak with mashed potatoes. It's really, really good though.

I also like Lachute's recommendation for Parc. I love that place.

Amada is wonderful, I've loved it for years.  If you're able to splurge a bit more, try Tinto instead, also amazing.

There is Osteria on N. Broad (Vetri) which can get mixed reviews - you should google and see what you think.

Parc, if the weather is good for sitting outside, is uber-romantic and has amazing people watching and amazing food.  You can almost pretend that you are really in Paris.  From here there is no need to move on, really, but you could move on to Rouge for afters (about a block away).

I like Alma de Cuba, too.  They have great ceviche.  And I think I had a really good dry rubbed flank steak there once.

Barclay Prime is pretty incredible, but with a price tag to match.  Leave all diets at the door, BYOD(efibrilator).

For drinks after dinner, try Time on Sansom, the room to your left as you walk in.  Tres Paris, with live (quiet, reggae/jazz/torch singing) music sometimes.

Hi! I paged you over on WC with this same question - I knew you'd have a lot of recommendations. I have been to Osteria twice and loved it both times. DH hated it though, so I can see how it gets mixed reviews.

 Too many good options, I don't know how to decide!

For after dinner drinks, I recommend the lounge at XIX, which is on the 19th floor of the Hyatt at the Bellevue.

We just went to Farm and Fisherman and loved it. We also recently went to Talula's Garden and really liked it too.

Edit: Tria gets really loud, but try Biba (same owner, but smaller bar). It's a wine bar in University City with a great deck.  Good cheese too!

BFF recently had a horrific review of the service at Talula's.  Two hours waiting for entrees and they only comped them dessert.

MaryEllen there is also Distrito in University City (Garces) which has super fun decor and romancey kinda booths where you can cuddle up.  Very good Mexican food and margaritas.

Didn't it just open recently? Maybe that would explain slow service. I plan to try this place out soon.
