good morning ladies. it is the first nice day in ages. of COURSE i am inside working all day. and of COURSE it is going to be 73 and raining this saturday. fml. sunday is *supposed* to be nice, and i have a road race, 2 bbqs and some kayaking to do, so i'm sure the weather will change and it will be hailing or something.
ran just under 6 miles last night, felt SO good. was STARVING after. 3 fish tacos, a handful of sunflower seeds and a handful of blackberries did not fill me up. had to add an ounce of brie which finally seemed to do the trick
and i stayed under my points!
tonight after work, i am going to run outside and work on speed intervals. i really need to get a better pace, i don't want to be the last person to finish the half in october!
Re: humpday post
way to go with the running!!!
Last night, made chicken teriyaki with veggies and brown rice. It was yummy!
Super stressed out. The supreme court is voting on the collective bargaining stuff. It passed. So that law is active now. Sucks. They also passed the law saying that state employees DO need to pay more for benefits. Which I'm fine with!! But they are now determining if it means it will need to be retroactive from the time the bill was "passed". If so that means I could potentially have about a months pay gone just to back pay for these benefits.
AND, our chancellor (At UW-MADISON), announced yesterday that she is leaving in August. Things are nuts around here and I'm stressed beyond believe.
J wants me to get out of state employement, but I can't right now with a baby on the way! Stress, stress, everywhere!
On another note, it's storming and gloomy, fitting for my mood, but still not wanted.
I hate when I have piles and piles of papers and stuff to do on my desk I don't know where to start and don't want to do any of it. TN and TB are not helping my cause either.
Game 7 tonight!!!!! Hopefully Greg gets out of work early and I will go meet him to watch the game somewhere.
I have been having a hard time getting comfy to sleep I don't know what I will do in a couple more months, I am a belly/side sleeper.
Shauni~Good job on the run!! I signed up for a 5k this weekend :-/ My first wasn't supposed to be until the 4th! Im scared.
X~get a body pillow and swaddle yourself up!
Toby and I are in the middle of our first real fight. It's exhausting, Im totally over it and done but he's trying to keep a flame going...damn men.
Runnin' runnin' and runnin' runnin' and runnin' runnin'.
Hello! Welcome to Wednesday!
My work computer hit the bucket yesterday afternoon so this morning I got a nice new one. Yay!
Other than that, I am celebrating the return of the sun and rooting for the Bruins to night! Just got to get through the rest of this day at work first - running behind since I lost time while they installed the comp, but yes, I am still Nesting. Naughty me.
i know it is not funny that you guys are fighting, but this sentence made me smile. good luck and godspeed!

you will be FINE! you run 5k all the time! 5k is 3 miles, which you said you can run! you will kick it's asss. and maybe when you are done asss kicking you will feel motivated to run a 10k and then you will force yourself to run longer distances? I am running a 5 mile race this sunday. we can both report back on monday, but i know you will do great!
also, sorry to hear about your first fight with toby. things will resolve themselves, but come on here to vent and explode if necessary!

Shauni and Jessie - good job and good luck on your races! Fun stuff.
Xtine - I got a Snoogle last week from Amazon, and I'm in lurve. It's really helped me to sleep better. I'm also a side/belly sleeper, and this lets me be like 3/4 over and still not be squishing Predator.
Jessie again - What is it with guys, that they can't give up the flame? H and I were remarking the other day that we've never been in a real fight, but he's still always the one who holds on to shiit. Like, he says I'm argumentative. Allegedly. When really I'm just trying to clarify what he's saying. He'll say what he's saying is obvious, so if I try to question him to clarify, I'm being argumentative. Blurg.
Moleson - I agree with you, even with the stress of working for state government (and I'm right there with 'ya!), now is not the time to move. Having the FMLA protection is really important, and you have to be there 12 months to get it.
Other than that, just busy here! I had a craving for Jamba Juice this morning after having one yesterday and Sunday, but the one close to my house is suddenly covered in brown paper. Hmm. But I was too lazy to get out of my car to read the 8x11 sign they put up in the window.

Mush is it super big? We have a Queen would there be enough room for me and Greg and sometimes Pierce?
I have been using a blanket for now it is somewhat working but last night I can tell for probably not much longer.
For now! One of our NT scan photos (at week 13) is the baby front on, and you just see the bones, and it looks just like Predator. Like, H was showing a co-worker, and she kind of hesitated until he told her that we think it looks like Predator in that scan photo, and she laughed and agreed.
So, yeah, not so warm and fuzzy, but we don't know the sex yet so don't have any names.
It also kind of works because I've been pretty sick, so we joke that that is the risk in growing a Predator.
Happy Weds all. Hungover and busy.
Mush-one of my BFF's u/s picture looked like Terminator (weird eye thing). We called baby Terminator for a while too. Was cute.
