I DD'd for security reasons. And thanks to those who asked about OPSEC. I verified it was okay to post that info, and tried to keep it vague. Trust me, that's my biggest pet peeve, so I try my hardest not to violate it too.
Anyway, it's all up in the air for quite a while still, so I'll keep you all updated. Just not sure which way to feel about it! While I know this is always a possibility, it just feels dirty the way it happened. But I'll get over it, and it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme.

Doesn't this violate OPSEC? You basically told us where he may be going & for how long in addition to what kind of position.
