Yesterday, I got an invitation to my friend's fiancee's bachelorette party. That's cool. But it's on a Sunday, from 2-4 p.m., a yoga class. I'm no yoga person, but I could see it being kinda fun and I'm going. But aside from the fact that it's in central Jersey which means I'm driving an hour each way for a 2-hour party, doesn't it sound kinda lame for a bach party? Not even lunch or something really social?

That doesn't sound like an exciting Bach party, and I like yoga.  It sounds like a lame excuse to do "something" for the bride.

Yeah...I'd probably skip it. While having yoga as a part of the bachelorette party fu would be fine with me, if that's ALL they're doing - nope.

That sounds really weird!  I would be hesitate on going.  I love yoga, but I think that is really strange to have that as a bach party.  No lunch?  Strange!

I do appreciate the fact that it's not your typical bachelorette party, but lunch would have been nice.

Ok, so it's not just me (and E - he loves yoga but was seriously questioning this). This might actually be more lame than my cousin's bach party, and that was terrible. At least there we had dinner and a glass of wine. Unless snacks and drinks are involved and the invite just didn't mention it? Would they do that? Have snacks and drinks during a yoga class?

Just you and E were invited to do yoga for a bachelorette party?  That's even more weird.  Maybe they are planning to go eat or something and just didn't put that in the invite?  So, odd....

Yea, weird. I doubt they'd have food and drinks at the actual class, so if there was some type of food involved I would think that the invite would say something like "come join us for yoga followed by lunch at XX". Right? That makes sense to me.

That's what I thought too.  So we're going to a two-hour yoga class, which doesn't seem all that social and talky to me, and then heading home?  That's it?  It's just so... not... party-like.
