Ok, why not start now...
Moms, what are the must haves (link if possible) for our baby registry?
What things did you get that you never used/didn't need/etc.
Re: Another registry post
Crib Sheet
Thermometer
This Puppy
There are others I can add later but I have to go take a nap.
hehe.
This table
An Ergo Carrier
A Moby Wrap carrier.
Ok now it is nap time
I 2nd P's crib sheet.
I think that's it for super young stuff. Now it's his jumperoo, his stuffed alpaca, his highchair, bibs and spoons. OH, and his piano.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Ergo. We still use it all the time.
I loved having the infant seat, but only because P is a peanut and fit into it forever. If he had been larger he would have grown out of it sooner and I probably could have skipped it.
Likewise with the accompanying stroller. It was great for when we snapped the infant seat into it, but now we never use it. We use the BOB or the umbrella stroller.
I still use receiving blankets for changing pads, especially if we're out and I know I'll need to use a public restroom.
Nice diaper bag.
tummy time mat.
We didn't use the infant towels for too long, so not too many of those.
Kneeling pad for the tub for baths.
Waterproof underpads.

Do you have the regular or the sport? One of my BFFs has the regular and swears by it. I am worried it won't fit around me though. hah!
That was my concern and I was bitter about how small the Ergo was.
BBB has ergos you can try on.
I like the sport material better, but I'll probably get whatevers on babysteals after our shower since i'm sure no one will buy one.
We have the regular. It think it is in B's car, though, so I can't check out the strap for you right now. I'm sure it will be fine, though.

ETA of course I have not tried any of these on. I am thinking a trip to Nashua to BBB is in order, you busy on Saturday morning?
I think we didn't get the sport because people complained about the breathability of the fabric. They may have changed it by now, though.

interesting! it appealed to me because it seemed easier to clean...sort of wipeable..
did you ever use the infant insert, or get a moby instead?
We didn't get the ergo until P was about 10 months old; I had a baby hawk that I used and B used a baby bjorn until I replaced it with the ergo. I'll probably make a moby-style wrap next time around and probably try the infant insert, but I don't have personal experience with either of them.

I have my girls weekend! Sorry! But check out Magic Beans in Cambridge or Brookline since they have such a variety there!
