Those storms last night were crazy! DH says we lost power for a little in the middle of the night, but I slept through it. Hope everyone is OK this morning!

Good Morning. The lightening was crazy last night! I think it may have struck our house. All the lights went out for a second and DH and I could both feel like electricity went through us.
After the lights went out and came back on ALL of AJ's toys turned on...even the ones that were switched off were playing music and flashing lights.
This AM my side of the garage wouldn't open. DH's side opened fine but I had to climb on my car to unlatch the garage door and then manually lift it. I thought I was going to have to stay home for the day b/c I was trapped.
Good morning. We lost power around 9pm and we were woken up when it came back around 11:30. Then it went off & on several times during the night. I know this because we have UPS's throughout our house that beep at us and the ice dispenser on our fridge makes a loud pop when the power comes back on. It was a very restless night.
On top off all that, we have a !@#$ leak above an exterior door. DH pulled the trim off last night to try to hunt it down and he found where it was coming from. Today he could see daylight from that spot. We don't know if it's a simple problem or if it's just a symptom of a major problem. We know the siding needs to be replaced, but we were hoping for a few more years. If that's what ultimately happens, bye-bye e-fund.
That's what it's there for though, right? Right??!!

This happened to us, too. Our alarm was supposed to go off at 6:15 and we didn't wake up until 7:15. Oops.
Does your alarm clock have a place for a battery for back up? Having the battery back-up installed has saved my azz more than once when the power has gone out.
ditto this, we always keep batteries in our alarm clocks.

I don't think so, but I honestly don't know. The alarm clock was DH's when we got married. It's on his side of the bed and he sets it every night. I think I will be checking that when I get home today.
I don't think mine does, DH's might.
