Lemonade cocktail? Help with recipe ideas...
I have a bunch of Newmans Fresh Lemonade, Lemons, Limes and some Grey Goose Vodka - should I mix Lemonade and Vodka together and pour over ice in pitcher with some fresh cut lemons and limes mixed in? Or should I go out and buy Lemon flavored Vodka or some other alcohol to mix it with? Trying to find a refreshing cocktail to serve on a hot day with ingredients I have. I also have fresh mint in my garden I can add and Grand Marnier in my cabinet - but not sure if that all goes together.
I also guess I could blend with ice.. but was trying to keep it simple. Please send ideas my way!
Re: Lemonade cocktail? Help with recipe ideas...
Hi there.
My un-bartender answer: I'd just mix up a sample with the vodka on hand and see how it tastes.
I've never had lemon vodka, but I think the combo would be too lemony.

Regular vodka will be great. I have a recipe using Ruby Red vodka too.
Strawberry Lemonade
in a pitcher
vodka to taste
4-5 muddled or fine chopped strawberries - great use for berries that are getting too soft to eat out of hand, but are still good.
lemon juice and some slices of lemon tossed in for color
splash of sour mix
fill with lemonade
and
Grapefruit Lemonade
In a tall glass put:
2 ice cubes
5 glugs Absolut Ruby Red vodka
4 glugs Newman's Own less sugar Lemonade
2 glugs Sweet and Sour mix
2 glugs Cosmo Martini mix
swizzle and serve
after trying the new Trop50 lowcal lemonade, i made my own drink up last week, and it was DELISH!
-lemonade
-stoli blueberry vodka
-threw in some frozen strawberries instead of icecubes
it was so yummy, and went down too quick LOL
