manicure/pedicure set

I want to start taking my own tools when I get a manicure and pedicure. Do any of you do this and did you by a set or just compile one on your own?

Do you use a different set when you give yourself manicures and pedicures? What tools do you use?

What steps do you take? I want to start doing them more on my own and doing mani/pedis every once in a while.

Any tips are appreciated!

Re: manicure/pedicure set

  • I put together a set for myself.  My H liked it so much I got one for him this past Christmas.  Bought all the things separately.

I recommend Tweezerman tools.  They're not cheap but they are really worth the money. do a great job, and are easy to clean.

Here's a post with some of the things that I included:

What else do I need for my guy's manicure kit?

  • For at-home pedicures, I use a Tweezerman callous remover, a metal cuticle pusher, acetone and an E.L.F concealer brush for polish cleanup... and that's it really.  Oh, and I have a good pair of large toenail clippers.

I'm glad you're considering taking your own tools to the salon.  That will help cut down on your risk of nail fungus!!!

  • To take proper care of hands and feet, it is essential to have regular manicure & Pedicure in Davie. The beauty treatments help in making hands and feet smooth, clean, and attractive. With time, dead cells accumulate on the skin and make it look dirty and rough. With effective manicure & pedicure in Davie, you can get smooth and soft hands and feet. Estheticians in the salons offer a relaxing treatment to the clients by soaking their hands and feet in warm water and then exfoliating them with a good quality scrubber. After scrubbing, they clean the nails and cuticles and then massage the hands and feet with a good cream. They also apply nail polish to give them a final touch.

  • I've got a set of Tweezerman manicure/pedicure tools too. I put them all in a little drawer with all of my nail polish, acetone, and nail moisturizers.
