FFFC... A tad early

I bought Carly a Vera Bradley duffel bag. We go to my parents about once a month so totally justified, right? ;)

Re: FFFC... A tad early

  • Will you be my mom? :D

  • There's a bit of story behind this...

Last year, I fell in love with these wall tiles:

    image

My friend C was going to buy them for me for my birthday, but they were gone from the stores and web when she went to buy them. Sad trombone. I found all of this out after the fact.

I went to Crate & Barrel this afternoon looking for something else, and they were back! And half price! I was so excited and I texted C about it.  And then I bought them and went home.

Like 10 minutes after I got home, she texted me asking me not to buy them (very subtle).  I lied, and said okay.  I fully intend to return them.

The good thing is that if they are a gift, then DH can't say no.  And that's also the flameful part.  He was okay with them last year, I just hope he hasn't forgotten that part.

  • I baked 4 layers of red velvet cake, cut them shaped for a topsy turvy cake, did Meg's recipe for cream cheese icing.  It all tasted great.  I used the excess for cake pops.

Tonight, I tried to do the fondant & decorating, and made a complete mess of it.  It's horrible, completely unservable.  And I don't even care if that's a real word.  I'm still going to do the cake pops, but tonight I just broke down crying and totally snapped at E over the damned cake.  I haven't apologized yet.  I'll do that when he comes upstairs.  My back hurts and I'm tired, and I'm just not in the mood to go back down there to say sorry.

  • Dh wants me to pregnant again now. We had a really long discussion about it the other day. I told him we had to wait until Robert is at least 9 months. I don't know if I'll be ready for another then. I spent over $200 on diapers this week. Cding is definitely not cheaper than disposables in my home.

I totally want one to match my diaper bag

  • I'm considering not washing Piper's clothes before she wears them. I don't wash mine before I wear them, not even panties (cue grossed out responses).

  • mlveynar - those tiles are cute! Keep us posted on how H responds. :)

I would totally get JJ a Vera Bradley duffel bag - be a little girly, but he wouldn't notice, right? My mom did just get him a Coach diaper bag though...ridiculous. I'm pretty sure he's got more style than me. Sigh.

My FFFC's: H is saying he is up for deployment. Again. After all the ish that went down the last time, I'm so over it all that I won't believe it until he's actually on a plane leaving the States. He keeps wanting to talk about it, but I don't.

JJ has regressed into the Terrible 2's all over again, and it's stressing me out. Which is stressing him out. I cannot WAIT to go on vacation next month...we need it.

I don't wash my clothes before I wear them either, don't feel bad.

Eb ~ I want a Coach diaper bag.

I rarely wash my clothes before I wear them, either. Sometimes, I'll wash the underwear, but if it came in a package, psht. Fair game.

I DID wash all of JJ's clothes before he wore them, but that was more out of paranoia than anything. Not sure that'll happen the second time around, unless my mom nags me about it.

  • Even more flameworthy... I'm serving the damned cake tomorrow. It looks bulbous and amateurish, not at all like I pictured, but after being in the fridge all night, it's not as absolutely horrific as I thought. And it tastes great... I ate the bit I had to cut out. But never again am I doing cream cheese icing with fondant:

No worries. My sister accidentally washed her bottles in only cold water in her dishwasher for the first year. The person that installed it only hooked it up to the cold water. They didn't realize it for so long since they had the heated dry at the end. Her kid is fine for the most part.

  • Have I ever mentioned Greg's cousin who 18 and aving her second child (12 months apart). I shudder at the thought that we live 9 miles from each other (not a huge distance in the country), and our children will be less than 3 weeks apart in age.

She's pregnant with baby 2 in this picture.

Baby 2's name of the week is Cash.

    PCOS and Endo

Ovarian drilling and endo removed 1/3/12
    BFP - 3/27/12
    Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.

  • And the new Teen Mom trend with her group of friends when they're having a cat fight, is to call DYFS (NJ Social Services) on each other and report child abuse.

Granted, it's probably a good thing that the State is aware of their living conditions and checking on the welfare of those children, but come on.

What a damn waste of time and resources.  We had DYFS show up at a baby shower looking for her and the other child.

Congrats Marcy.  You win the "Most likely to appear in the background of a 16 & Pregnant Episode."

Your award will be your face on the body of that picture.
