I can't sleep--just keep thinking about all the things I need to get done at work and home...I don't have a hospital bag ready and Good Grief we need a boy name already! Joey was nameless after birth for a good 6 hours and I'd rather not do that again! We had to tell the lady to come back with the social security paperwork because we didn't know
So unlike me, I'm a type A planner.
We're set on a girl, Leah Noelle.
Last Name - Sounds like Willis
These are sort of in order of what we like.
1) Ryan Matthew (Note: H's closest cousin is named Ryan so I'm worried the family might thinks that's odd. His cousin's little boy has Ryan as a middle name, and they call him by his Firstname Middlename so its sort of their family thing.) But we do like Ryan! Should we count it out?
2) Matthew Ryan
3) Ryan James
4) Matthew James
5) Matthew Owen (although I like it, I'm leaning away from Owen bc I'm feeling as though it's becoming more popular lately)
Re: We haven't figured out a boy name, which do you like?
i like Matthew Ryan or Matthew James, but I really like the name Matthew in general.
Owen is becoming more popular (at least according to how many Owens are on my facebook ha) but I think using it as a middle name is not a big deal - it lets you use a more popular name without feeling like your child will be one of a dozen Owens (and I dont think it's THAT popular yet.) my brother and SIL did that with my niece- she was born when avery was super popular and they loved the name but didnt want her to have a trendy name for her first name, so it's her middle name.
And plus, Owen is a classic name.
I like Ryan Matthew, though I see your concern. But in the end your child will live with this name for the rest of his live and you will be calling this name for the rest of your live .. I think it is fine. I think I would maybe talk to the family or at least the cousin, mention that you are concerned the family might not like it. I am sure everyone will ease your worries.

I like Matthew James or Matthew Owen. I think it would be too confusing to name him Ryan.
FWIW, Lucy was born at 2:47PM on Sunday, and I think we named her at 9:30AM on Tuesday. We just couldn't decide!
