I was so proud of my eggplant because it has been doing so well and I have never been very good with plants but tonight we noticed that something has been eating my eggplants. I know ants have been crawling around but I read that they should not hurt the plant. Should I remove the damaged eggplants? What do you think is doing this? The largest is damaged and one of the smaller ones also but there are several others I do not want damaged. Thank you so much in advanced I am very new to gardening and want to harvest at least a few.

Re: Eggplant help please
to me it looks like a critter...like squirrel or chipmunk or something.
you could do something like this to protect them:
