I got an evite for one a few years ago and the dress code was stated as black tie optional. I nearly fell out laughing.
I came in this morning and the email signature on my work email was changed. It was just a small change (adding the office hours - why?) but I didn't think it was needed and really didn't like it. I guess too many years of working full time and being the department director make the lack of control of my own things part of this job harder for me to take.
There is so much for me to do leading up to next Friday and I just want to stay home, play on the computer and watch TV.
I don't know what to say to that invite, Summer. However, I did get an e-vite to a wedding several months ago. It was a second marriage for both of them so I didn't think it was too big a deal.
Evite/FB event is not appropriate for a wedding. Most other things, yes; wedding no.
Yucatan Taco Stand was awesome! If we could get girls to make the trip to Southlake, I think it would be a great G2G location. The margaritas were AWESOME!

Was it an actual invite or an announcement? Surely, it was just an announcement and you'll get a formal invite in the mail. Otherwise, that is just tacky!
Brad and I were watching the latest Shrek and there is one part when Shrek says that he knows Fiona doesn't like to have her feet wrapped up in the covers. He looked at me and said "You're part ogre." because I don't like my feet wrapped in the covers either. I know it's silly but it made me laugh and thinking about it now makes me smile. He knows me and that is all I ever really wanted in a partner.
Silly, but it made me happy.

And I don't know if it was an announcement or invite.
So sweet. I love when DH makes random observations like that too. It's like, wow, you do pay attention.

I call Bill part ogre. He chased some neighborhood girls off of the lawn. Okay they were barely on the lawn and they were picking up a paper to play with that he had left out there for a while. I told him he was being that guy but I changed it to an ogre later when he said something else about the kids in our neighborhood being annoying. "Ogres have layers, like onions have layers."
That is too sweet!
And I agree on the evite for a wedding, not cool.

Leslie, I'm having the same "experiences" you were talking about yesterday during AW/Chit Chat. I got really sick to my stomach this morning and took off running from my desk to the bathroom. I took a test Thursday and it said negative but I'm 3 days late now. Gonna wait till Sunday and take another test. The waiting is killing me!
DH surprised me with plans tonight! We are going to dinner at H3 and then going to Cory Morrow tonight. I love that he planned it all on his own! Now I just have to get a nap in before dinner.
The parade was AWESOME yesterday. Not sure how many pics I was tagged in my DH but I'll tag more for those (Julie) that wanted to see pictures!

I bought tickets yesterday to the Incubus concert in September. Pretty excited about it.
My best friend sent me an fb invite to her wedding asking if it was ok as a save the date, she's a little goofy. I laughed so hard and informed it was not just a no but HELL No.

We have reserve seating. Section C row 5. I have Leslie's number so I'll text her when we get there. It is a date night with DH but I told him I had to chat with you ladies for a bit. Leslie I told him you were the one helping me with the coupon stuff and he said "oh ok you talk about her so it might not be so weird". And don't worry I won't say anything about the phantom symptoms, I think DH would be a little freaked if he knew I was telling everyone also!
Not if we have a bunch of pregnant girls. Y'all will eat all our nachos!
As of today I've had 2 weeks of vacation and I'm officially bored.
I've unpacked from our move and I've done the errands that I've put off. I don't know what else to do. What should I do? Maybe a movie!?
We're buying reserved seating too, I just haven't done it yet. I'm going to call BB's later and see if they expect it to be sold out, which I doubt, but if they don't then we'll buy our tickets at the door so we can avoid paying the service fees on the tickets when you buy them via online or phone.
If they're expecting it to sell out, guess we'll have to buy them online. Boo. I hate paying stupid fees like that.
