ugh, Verizon

so I got a text from Verizon saying I was about to go over my minutes (which I was expecting this month since I've had a lot of work calls), but my billing cycle also ends on Tuesday, so I figured no big deal.

I log into my account to see where I'm at - 626 minutes of the 450 my plan allows.  Ummmm, Verizon, if you're going to bother notifying me, maybe it should actually be before I go over, not when I'm 200 minutes over!  So after I figure out it's going to cost me about $100 extra for that month's bill, I go and up my plan to the 900 minute plan for $16 extra and crisis is averted (I'll just go back to my other plan next month).

I'm just annoyed.

That's really dumb that they waited. Does Verizon do rollover minutes? Those save us during DH's busy officiating times because there are some months that we hardly use any minutes because most of our friends and family are on AT&T so it's free to call them (since we AT&T also).

  • They don't have rollover minutes which sucks because most months I barely hit 300 minutes.  This month was just because I'm not working out of MY office and when I have conference calls, I don't have access to a work phone, so I use my cell phone.  Technically, I think I could get my project to reimburse me, but it can be a pain and I can part with $16 for this month just to not have to deal with that process.

  • I would be in big trouble w/o roll over minutes. My BFF and I chat about 900 minutes a month, We both have AT&T it's nuts.
